What are Christmas Mini Sessions?

Our Miami Christmas mini sessions are short 20-minute mini sessions that provide an opportunity to capture this holiday season with family and loved ones. At MSP, it’s all about the joy, connections and magic this season brings. In just 20 minutes, we’ll capture a portrait and candid images for your family Holiday cards with a beautiful Christmas Aesthetic.

Every year since 2012 we do our Christmas cards (that’s even before we were engaged, I know…crazy, but love makes you do crazy things!) We’d been on a solid streak and on time, but let me tell you about the last 2 years…and let me also just say please learn from our mistakes…don’t let this happen to you!

In 2020 we were soooo “busy” with everyone else’s Christmas Mini Sessions Miami and with all the work we needed to catch up on because of the pandemic, that we totally missed doing our Christmas mini photoshoot session and cards. What we didn’t know at the time, but it would be our last Christmas with our puppy Kelvin, who’s now in heaven.

In 2021, we waited so long to book that we had to drive to Orlando to do our photos because we searched all of South Florida for available slots and we could not find any from a photographer’s style that we loved. If we could go back, we would prioritize this tradition we loved and would have booked early so that it was in our calendar no matter how busy we got. In 2022, we got right back on the ball and did our Miami Christmas Minis on time and were able to send out Christmas cards on time, yay!

Most Important Elements of Christmas Mini Sessions Miami

Where is the location? What is the set design?

We’ve offered Christmas Minis Miami since 2018, but we are especially excited this year because your favorite is back – all white Christmas set, inspired by the light, airy and neutral tones of snow, with a dash of glam ribbons.
You don’t have to worry about looking for Christmas photoshoot locations because it’s part of the mini – a styled set in our home studio based in Miramar, FL. about 30 minutes from Miami.

What do I wear?

Every year, we create an inspiration board for our clients with different looks that match the inspiration of the set. We gather specific links to ensure it is an easy experience for our clients. I typically recommend solid colors and pretty pastels, but for Christmas tartan, matching family pajamas, or seasonal colors are a perfect way to go also as they fit the Christmas season.

You’ll get a 20 minute session with me, your favorite light and airy photographer.

When should I book?

If you want to have enough time to print your photographs for holiday cards? Be sure to complete the booking form and select a date prior to December to give time to order card and have enough time to address and ship them to your family and friends. 

What to Expect/ The Experience

Not only will you have photos for your annual family Christmas cards and for your memories, but you’ll also leave with a magical experience during our Christmas Mini Sessions in Miami. Make sure to come early to your session because we will have a waiting room with an activity and all the milk and cookies you want! Not to mention with every session booked, we’ll be donating to a charity which will soon be announced. 

Whether this is a gift to yourself or you are purchasing studio sessions as gifts, it will surely make this Christmas a special one. Our Christmas Minis Miami are easy, budget-friendly, an enjoyable moment and activity and the images turn out beautiful every single time. 

If you’ve never done Christmas Photoshoots, here’s what to expect:

On the day of our shoot when you arrive, we’ll have a special waiting area for you with coloring pages, Christmas music and a floor puzzle for the kids.

When we’re ready for you, we will call your family to the main natural light studio space and we’ll have an awesome time capturing candid, authentic moments as well as a beautiful posed photo for your holiday cards.

We will instruct you on what to do and have fun prompts for the kids so the only thing you have to do is smile and have fun!

Then, within 5 business days, you’ll receive a gallery of images from the session. The best part is that there is no need for image selection because this year we will we’re including all the images from your session.

Our goal is always to provide wonderful experiences for your family photos!
