If you’re a photo obsessed mama, you’re always looking for the easiest, fastest iPhone photo edit hack that will transform your iPhone photos from mehhh to wow. Which leads me to believe..we’re already becoming besties!
I’m Meivys! I’m a lifestyle photographer and run my business with my husband. For the past 10 years, we’ve built our business from the ground up – starting as fresh college grads. I’m a lover of fresh flowers (tulips, anyone?), cafecito, powerful devotionals and a good mani pedi. Can I get an amen?
But, more than that, I love helping families document their stories. Most recently, I have seen how mamas struggle to document their everyday lives in a curated and beautiful way; and while I can’t be with you on the daily (even though I wish I could!) or on your family vacations to document all the cute things your kiddos do, I can ensure you take a little bit of my 10 years pro experience with you in your pocket everywhere you go.

Tips from a Professional Photographer
Capturing light, airy, and creative photos of children with an iPhone can be a fun and rewarding experience. Here are some top tips to help you achieve that desired look I get in my professional images:
Shoot iPhone Photos in Natural Light
Natural light is your best friend when it comes to creating light and airy photos. Find a well-lit area indoors near a large window or go outdoors during the golden hour (early morning or late afternoon) when the light is soft and warm. This will also help you get the light and airy iPhone edit you want!
Keep the Composition Simple
Focus on your child as the main subject and eliminate any distractions in the background. Simplify the scene by using negative space (empty space around your kids) to draw attention to your child and ignore the busy background.
Encourage Natural Expressions and Candid Moments
Instead of posed shots, capture your child’s genuine emotions and expressions by engaging with them during the photoshoot. Play games, tell jokes, or let them explore their surroundings naturally. These candid moments often result in the most authentic and captivating images and it’s a bit of what I do during a professional session.
Try Different Angles and Perspectives
Get down to your child’s eye level or experiment with shooting from above to add variety to your photos. Changing perspectives can provide a fresh and curated look to your images and remember to keep the background distraction free so you can achieve the light and airy edit.
This is the golden nugget & my favorite iPhone hack!!!

And remember, while iPhones are great for every day life, don’t overlook the difference professional photography can make for meaningful seasons of life. A professional lifestyle photographer can genuinely grasp your family’s personality, giving you the freedom to unwind and enjoy the moment AND be IN the photos instead of behind the phone taking the photo.
