Hi, I’m Meivys. For over a decade, my husband and I have had the privilege of walking alongside families across South Florida as they document some of the most meaningful seasons of their lives.

What began as a passion quickly became a calling. I am not simply a professional Miami Family photographer here to take beautiful light and airy photos. We are here to create an experience that feels calm, intentional, and deeply personal.

Heirloom photography is a classic style of children’s portraiture created to stand the test of time. Unlike a traditional family photography session, it focuses completely on the child. Instead of elaborate themes, trendy props, or busy backgrounds, everything is intentionally kept simple.

Their eyes. Their expression. Their personality in this exact season.

The styling is classic, the background is clean, and the finished portrait feels more like artwork than a snapshot. It is the kind of image that can hang in your home today, move with you from one house to the next, and someday belong to your child.

Why a 15-Minute Session Works for Little Ones

Fifteen minutes may sound quick to an adult, but for a baby, toddler, or preschooler, it can be exactly right. Our prep process begins before the camera comes out: we ask you to arrive 10 minutes early so your child has time to see the studio, get comfortable in the space, and warm up before we begin the photo session.

Young children usually give us their most natural expressions before they become tired, distracted, or overwhelmed. And because we are photographing just your child, we do not need to hold the attention of several people or create multiple combinations. We only need five beautiful images that capture their personality, although we will take dozens along the way.

Short does not mean rushed. It means we are intentional. Fifteen minutes is enough time to create five meaningful portraits and continue a beautiful tradition your family can return to year after year.

You do not have to spend an hour trying to convince your child to cooperate. You arrive prepared, we take the lead, and before they have time to be completely over it, we are done. We are not trying to push your child through in record time; the session is short because it has one clear, thoughtful purpose.

The Best Ages for Heirloom Portraits

Our Heirloom Mini Sessions are best for children between 8 months and 6 years old; an age range filled with so many of the little details we wish we could keep forever.

At eight months, it may be your baby girl’s rolls, tiny fingers, and wide-eyed curiosity. At two, it is the chubby hands and personality that cannot be contained. At five or six, it may be the missing teeth, the growing confidence, or the last traces of their baby face.

Every age holds something worth remembering. Beginning around eight months, when babies can often sit independently and show so much expression, gives us a beautiful starting point. Continuing the session each year through age six creates something even more meaningful: a visual tradition that preserves the early years and lets you watch your child grow, one timeless portrait at a time.

Can you imagine displaying the portraits together and seeing the baby rolls slowly become missing teeth, longer limbs, and a personality that grows more distinct every year? The second time you return, you will already notice what has changed. Over time, this once-a-year shoot can become a beautiful record of childhood, not only for you, but for your child to inherit one day.

These minis are designed primarily as individual, children-only portraits. An additional sibling may be added for $100. If you would like individual portraits of each child and portraits of the siblings together, we will need more time and can create a separate sibling package for you rather than trying to squeeze everything into a mini session.

• A 15-minute studio portrait session
• Outfit guidance before the session
• Five fully edited, high-resolution digital images delivered in both color and black and white
• The option to add a premium acrylic print
• The option to add one sibling for $100

We will help you choose clothing that photographs beautifully and keeps the final images timeless. Soft colors, classic silhouettes, and simple textures usually work best. You do not need to buy an elaborate outfit or turn this into one more complicated thing on your list.

The goal is for your child to look like themselves, just thoughtfully photographed.

What to Wear for Miami Heirloom Mini Sessions

What your child wears helps create the timeless feeling of an heirloom portrait, but choosing an outfit does not need to be stressful. You do not need an amazing vision or a perfectly styled wardrobe before contacting us. Outfit guidance is included before your session, and we will help you make a choice that works beautifully with our light and airy style.

The best heirloom outfits feel classic rather than trendy. We want to look at the finished portrait years from now and notice your child first, not a logo, a bright pattern, or an outfit that immediately identifies the year it was photographed.

Choose Soft, Neutral Colors

White, ivory, cream, beige, soft blue, pale pink, and other gentle neutrals photograph beautifully against a clean backdrop. These colors reflect light softly and keep the portrait feeling simple and refined.

You do not have to avoid color completely. A muted blue, dusty rose, or another soft tone can be beautiful, especially if it complements your child’s eyes or skin tone. The goal is not for every child to look the same. It is to choose a color that supports the portrait without becoming its focus.

Look for Classic Silhouettes

Simple, traditional clothing works especially well for heirloom portraits. Depending on your child’s age and personality, that might include:

• A bubble romper or classic one-piece for a baby
• A Peter Pan collar shirt
• A simple dress with delicate details
• Linen shorts with a button-down shirt
• A knit set or textured romper
• A timeless outfit that has been passed down in your family

Smocking, subtle embroidery, tiny buttons, soft ruffles, and delicate collars can add interest without overwhelming your child’s face. Clothing with personal meaning, such as an outfit worn by a parent or older sibling, can make the final portrait even more special.

Use Texture Instead of Busy Patterns

Linen, cotton, knits, eyelet, and other natural-looking fabrics add softness and dimension to an image. Texture gives the portrait visual interest while allowing it to remain quiet and timeless.

If you choose a pattern, keep it extremely subtle. Very small florals or a delicate stripe may work, but solids and gentle textures are usually the safest choices for this style.

Keep Accessories Simple

A small bow, delicate headband, classic shoes, or meaningful piece of jewelry can complete the outfit beautifully. Accessories should support the portrait, not compete with your child.

For babies, bare feet are often perfect. For older children, choose simple shoes in a neutral color or we may photograph them barefoot when it suits the outfit and final look.

What to Avoid

For the most timeless result, we recommend avoiding:

• Large logos, words, or recognizable characters
• Neon or extremely bright colors
• Bold plaids, large florals, and busy patterns
• Athletic shoes or very casual play clothes
• Distracting watches, oversized bows, or heavy accessories
• Clothing that is uncomfortable, itchy, too tight, or difficult to move in

Comfort matters. Even the most beautiful outfit will not photograph well if your child is pulling at it, unable to move, or simply does not feel like themselves. Let them try everything on before the session so you can check the fit and make sure they feel comfortable.
